Leanne Barker’s EnVogue: Luxury Interior Design Studio in Casco Viejo
Leanne Barker’s design journey began in Dallas, where her eye for detail and form took shape among architects and dreamers. But it was in Casco Viejo, Panama, that her vision came alive—grounded in the textures of colonial stone, the soft rhythm of the Pacific, and the quiet poetry of Panamanian life.
Here, surrounded by history and warmth, she found a culture that embraces color, craftsmanship, and tranquility. As founder of EnVogue Luxury Tile & Design Studio, Leanne merges the precision of luxury design with the spirit of Panama to create interiors that feel timeless, soulful, and unmistakably alive.
From Dallas to Lifestyle Design in Casco Viejo
In 2008, I was leading business development for the Dallas Convention Center while Leanne co-owned a tile gallery on Dragon Street — a hidden gem that drew architects and designers from across the city. Dallas was our foundation, but we were both searching for something more personal, more soulful, more connected to life beyond the deadlines.
That same year, we purchased a home in Casco Viejo, Panama, and began our slow transition south. As I built my consulting practice, Leanne stepped away from her 20-year partnership and laid the groundwork for something new — a studio where craftsmanship meets culture. Her mission was simple yet profound: to bring lifestyle-driven renovation to Panama, one space, one story, and one client at a time.
Lifestyle Design Rooted in Real Life
Leanne’s design philosophy begins with how people truly live — not the Pinterest version, but the real rhythm of their days. Before she sketches a single line, she spends hours walking through each client’s space, observing the light, the movement, the energy. She listens to how they start their mornings, where they unwind at night, and what makes a house feel like home.
It’s an approach that turns design into intuition. Leanne doesn’t just plan kitchens and living rooms — she designs flow, comfort, and ease. Every space adapts to the homeowner’s rhythm, creating rooms that feel natural, lived-in, and quietly luxurious.
Lifestyle Renovations: From Teardowns to Timeless Spaces
EnVogue Luxury Tile & Design Studio opened its doors in 2017 — the natural evolution of two decades of experience and one enduring philosophy: design should feel lived in from the start. Since then, Leanne has led full-home renovations across Panama, Colombia, Belize, and the United States, bringing her signature balance of precision and soul to every project.
Every job is hands-on. Leanne manages teardowns, curates materials, and collaborates closely with craftsmen who share her respect for detail. She’s the quiet translator between architect and client — bridging blueprints with human need, and ensuring that every wall, tile, and finish supports the life unfolding within it.
Casco Viejo’s Lifestyle Designer in the Community
Leanne is a quiet but essential presence in Casco Viejo. Over 15 of her projects sit within the UNESCO heritage district — each respecting the balance of old-world charm and modern comfort. During the pandemic, while most of the city paused, Leanne desigened an apartment at PH Portales. That space became the new home for EnVogue. Her reputation? Many know her as “the cat lady” from the Casco Cat Community, but within the design world, she’s the go-to when you want it done right.
Her years in design stretch across continents and clients. Even so, the magic of lifestyle design often shows up close to home — right here in Casco Viejo. In fact, while dining at Santa Rita, she ran into one of her former clients — none other than President Bill Clinton. Their exchange was warm and effortless. It was yet another reminder that lives and legacies cross paths in the most unexpected ways.
Why Lifestyle Design in Casco Viejo Matters
Design is personal — Leanne knows this better than anyone. After more than fifteen completed projects in Casco Viejo, she’s learned that great design starts with empathy, not drawings. Her renovations aren’t just about changing walls or finishes; they’re transformations shaped by how people live, host, and rest within their space.
Every project begins with listening — really listening — and ends with something that feels inevitable, as though it had always belonged there. It’s this quiet precision that defines EnVogue Luxury Tile & Design Studio and keeps Leanne’s work woven into the evolving fabric of Casco Viejo.
More Than a Studio: EnVogue’s Lifestyle Design Philosophy
EnVogue Luxury Tile & Design Studio is Leanne’s creation — from concept to chandelier. It’s more than a gallery. It’s where craftsmanship meets soul. Her clients don’t just browse tiles — they experience what it feels like to be truly seen and heard in a renovation process.
So next time you pass by EnVogue in Casco Viejo, look up at the chandelier. There’s a story there — and it begins with Leanne, who embodies the essence of lifestyle design in Casco Viejo.
